Adult Classes & Lessons

Class

When: Every Monday evening from 6:30-7:30 preceeding the organ/dance session from 7:30-10:30.
Cost: $3 if you attend the session, $4 if you do not stay for the session. No preregistration required, simply show up.

The adult (16+) class on Monday nights is for the beginner/intermediate skater. Most of the participants are in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s. If you skated when you were younger and want to refresh your skills, join this class. If you recognize your need for exercise and see skating as an exciting and stimulating form for you, join this class to learn balance, safe skating, and the skills you need to enjoy skating in its many forms.

Private Lessons

Now the fun begins. There is so much to learn about skating and yourself in your quest for exercise and excellence. Many skaters like private lessons just to quicken the pace of becoming a proficient skater so they can enjoy the sessions with others who share their interest. Some want to demonstrate their improving skills through the achievement test system. Some even take it to the competitive level where there are many age divisions for the adult skaters in such disciplines as team and solo dance, and circle figures. Many former skaters return to recreational skating to firm up their muscles and lessen the effects of a well lived life.

Whatever your reason(s), private lessons are a stimulating way to improve your abilities and knowledge base. You will skate more effectively and efficiently, participate in more skating activities, and experience the ecstacy of pure learning again..
